CohesiveIQ ("CohesiveIQ," "we," "our," or "us") values trust and transparency. This Privacy Notice, together with any applicable supplements based on your interactions with CohesiveIQ and your place of residence ("Supplements"), describes our policy for handling and protecting your Personal Information, our purposes for collecting Personal Information, and the rights you may have over it. Where we issue Supplements, we refer to this page as CohesiveIQ's General Privacy Notice ("GPN") and, collectively with applicable Supplements, our "Privacy Notice" or "Notice."

This Notice applies to Personal Information CohesiveIQ obtains, directly or indirectly, from third parties, users of our website (including all subdomains that link to this Privacy Notice, collectively, the "Site"), or any time you interact with CohesiveIQ or use CohesiveIQ's consulting services, tools, or resources, online or in person (collectively, the "Services").

For purposes of this Notice, "Personal Information" is any information that identifies, relates to, or can be reasonably linked to an identified or identifiable natural person. Personal Information does not include certain categories of information, such as publicly available information from government records and information that has been aggregated in accordance with applicable law.

Our Site may contain links to other websites that are not operated or controlled by CohesiveIQ ("Third-Party Sites"). The practices described in this Notice do not apply to those Third-Party Sites. The collection and use of your information on Third-Party Sites is governed by their respective privacy statements. CohesiveIQ is not responsible for the privacy practices of Third-Party Sites, and links on our Site do not constitute an endorsement or review of those sites.

From time to time, CohesiveIQ may revise this Notice, and material changes will result in the issuance of an updated version. The effective date of any modification will be indicated at the top of this page. Please check this page periodically for changes. Where required by law, we will notify you by email (to the address you have provided) or through a notice on the Site before changes take effect.

SECTION 3 - Information We Collect and How We Use or Share It

This section serves as CohesiveIQ's Notice at Collection under the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA") and its implementing regulations. This Notice at Collection does not apply to job applicants, employees, contractors, or similar individuals ("Personnel"); such individuals should refer to CohesiveIQ's Personnel Privacy Supplement, where applicable, for a separate Notice at Collection.

Information We Collect

CohesiveIQ only collects Personal Information that is relevant and reasonably necessary to operate our business. The categories of Personal Information we may collect depend on your interactions with CohesiveIQ or your "Role." Roles include:

  • Client: Prospective or current consulting clients and their personnel
  • Personnel: Applicants, future employees, contractors, or interns
  • Vendor: Business partners or suppliers of products or services to CohesiveIQ
  • Visitor: Website visitors not included in the above categories, whose information may be collected through Tracking Technologies

The table below identifies the categories of Personal Information (as defined by the CCPA) that we have collected about individuals who voluntarily provide their Personal Information or use our Services in the 12 months preceding this Notice. It also indicates, by category, our business purpose for collection and the third parties to whom we may disclose this information.

We do not sell Personal Information.

  • Non-public education information
  • Inferences drawn from other Personal Information
  • Sensitive Personal Information

  • You: Information you provide through the Site, by email, phone, at events, or through promotions or programs
  • Related Entities and Affiliates: Information from our related parties, affiliates, and joint ventures
  • Social Media and Related Services
  • Service Providers and Contractors: Information needed to provide Services
  • News Outlets, Surveys, and Certain Third Parties: Information collected during research and marketing activities
  • Automatically Collected Information: As you interact with our Site, we may collect data such as details of your visits (traffic data, location data, logs, resources accessed), information about your computer and internet connection (IP address, operating system, browser type), device type, mobile ad identifiers, visit duration, referring website, and user preferences (via Cookies; see Section 8)

  • For research, analysis, and service development
  • To comply with legal obligations and respond to law enforcement requests
  • To manage recruiting and employment-related activities (see Personnel Supplement, where applicable)
  • To protect the rights, property, and safety of CohesiveIQ, our employees, clients, and the public
  • To evaluate or conduct business transactions such as mergers or asset transfers

We may change or add to the purposes for which we collect Personal Information. If we do, we will inform you and obtain your consent when required by law.

Legal Basis for Processing

CohesiveIQ generally processes Personal Information based on our legitimate business interests. Where required, we seek your consent for specific processing activities. We may also process Personal Information as permitted by contract or applicable law, such as to comply with legal obligations or when our legitimate interests do not override your rights and freedoms. You may have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, as described in Section 7.

SECTION 5 - International Users

CohesiveIQ's Site and Services are intended for entities and individuals located in the United States. If you are located outside the United States and access our Site or submit your Personal Information, you do so at your own risk. United States law may not offer the same privacy protections as your jurisdiction.

If you visit our Site or contact us from outside the United States, please note that any information you provide, or that is automatically collected, will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where our services and personnel are located. By using our Site or submitting information, you explicitly authorize its transfer to and processing in the United States, in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable law.

SECTION 6 - Security

CohesiveIQ uses commercially reasonable security measures to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is entirely secure. By using our Services, you acknowledge and accept these inherent risks.

SECTION 7 - Data Subject Rights

Do-not-sell/share (opt-out)

CohesiveIQ does not sell or share your Personal Information with unrelated third parties. We also do not use or disclose your Sensitive Personal Information for purposes that, with limited exceptions, are not necessary to provide our Services as reasonably expected by an average consumer requesting those Services. We do not have actual knowledge that we have sold Personal Information belonging to minors under age 18.

Certain regions, such as the State of California, provide data subject rights ("Privacy Rights") to individuals who reside there under applicable state law, such as the CCPA. Depending on your state of U.S. residence, you may have the following rights:

Right of Deletion

You may request deletion of Personal Information that we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions. There may be circumstances where we cannot delete your Personal Information or direct our service providers or contractors to delete it from their records, including where we need to:

  • Complete the transaction for which the Personal Information was collected, provide a good or service requested by you, or otherwise perform a contract between CohesiveIQ and you
  • Help ensure security and integrity to the extent the use of your Personal Information is reasonably necessary and proportionate for those purposes
  • Debug to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality
  • Exercise free speech, ensure another consumer's right to exercise free speech, or exercise another right provided by law
  • Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act (Cal. Penal Code § 1546 et seq.)
  • Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research consistent with applicable ethics and privacy laws, where deletion would seriously impair the ability to complete such research and you have provided informed consent
  • Enable solely internal uses reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with us
  • Comply with a legal obligation
  • Otherwise use your Personal Information internally, in a lawful manner compatible with the context in which you provided it

Right to Know

Upon receipt of a verifiable consumer request, as a resident of certain states you have the right to request information regarding: the categories of Personal Information collected; the categories of sources of that information; the categories of Personal Information disclosed for business purposes; the categories of third parties to whom we have disclosed Personal Information; the business or commercial purposes for collecting or sharing Personal Information; and a copy of the specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected about you. In general, disclosures cover the 12-month period preceding your request, except as otherwise required by applicable law.

Right to Request Correction

You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate Personal Information we maintain about you, taking into account the nature of that information and the purpose of processing it.

Right to Non-Discrimination

You have the right not to be subject to discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights under applicable state law. This includes an employee's, applicant's, or independent contractor's right not to be retaliated against for exercising such rights.

Submitting Privacy Rights Requests

Residents of qualifying states may submit requests by emailing solutions@cohesiveiq.com. To process your request, please provide details on the timing and context of your interaction with CohesiveIQ. After receiving a response, you may appeal any decision by emailing the same address.

CohesiveIQ will verify your identity before processing requests and may request additional information if necessary. In some cases, requests may be forwarded to the relevant client(s) for response. You may authorize an Agent to act on your behalf; the Agent must provide proof of your signed permission, unless you have provided the Agent with a valid power of attorney under applicable state law. We reserve the right to deny requests from purported agents who do not submit sufficient proof of authorization.

California Shine the Light Law

Under California's "Shine the Light" law (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83), California residents who provide CohesiveIQ certain personal data may request, once per calendar year and free of charge, information about Personal Information (if any) shared with third parties for their direct marketing use in the prior calendar year. To submit a request, email solutions@cohesiveiq.com, including your California address and an attestation of residency.

SECTION 8 - Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

As you navigate the Site, certain anonymous information may be passively collected using technologies such as "cookies," "pixels," and other tracking technologies ("Tracking Technologies"). These may recognize your browser and automatically transmit information such as the referring URL, IP address, and browser version.

CohesiveIQ may use and combine passively collected anonymous information to provide better service, customize the Site, compile statistics and trends, and improve the Site. We do not combine this information with other Personal Information unless you have given your consent.

See Section 7 to learn how you can exercise your privacy rights regarding tracking technologies. The technologies we use for automatic data collection may include:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: Essential for browsing and accessing secure areas (e.g., Cloudflare, Google reCAPTCHA)
  • Analytics Cookies: Collect information about navigation and usage patterns (e.g., HubSpot, Hotjar) to enhance Site functionality

To manage your cookie settings, visit your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Site functionality.

SECTION 9 - Special Notes for Minors

CohesiveIQ's Services are not directed to children under the age of 18, and CohesiveIQ does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under this age. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received Personal Information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as possible. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we may have collected information from a child under 18, please contact us at solutions@cohesiveiq.com. Individuals under the age of 18 should not use the Site without adult supervision.
